Job Summary
Moves trailers safely and accurately within the yard and between company holdings. Operates various tractor-trailer combinations and performs safety inspections of yard horses and trailers according to DOT regulations. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency rules while working in all weather conditions. Must be available for overtime and weekends, and able to stand, walk, and repeatedly climb into and out of switchers and road tractors. Requires a valid CDL-A, TWIC Card, and SEALINK.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical requirement
- Must be available to work overtime and weekends
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Capable of standing, walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of switcher and road tractor
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Valid CDL - A
- Valid TWIC Card
- Valid SEALINK
