Job Summary
Conduct dedicated grocery freight runs in a dry van, performing two daily trips with live unloading across approximately 2,200 miles per week. Operate under a slip-seat model without an assigned truck, working a five-day night shift schedule from Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday while returning home nightly. Maintain a clean driving record with no serious violations or preventable accidents, holding a valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card. Required Qualifications
- 21 years or older
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must have held a U.S. driver's license the last 12 consecutive months
- Current DOT medical card
- No endorsements required for this position
- 6 months OTR experience within the last 12 months, OR 12 months OTR experience within the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
- No serious traffic violations in the last 12 months
- Speeding 30+ MPH over = automatic disqualification for 3 years
- Original ticket copies required for all citations in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 DOT preventable accident in the last 2 years
- No major preventable accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 preventable incidents in the last 2 years
- Preventable rear-end accident = 1 year disqualification
- Accident reports required for ALL accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 4 driving jobs in the last 12 months
- No more than 1 safety-related termination in the last 5 years
- No DUI/DWI in a commercial vehicle — ever
- No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years while holding a CDL or CLP
- No DUI/DWI in the 5 years before obtaining your CDL or CLP
- No multiple DUI/DWIs
- No failed or refused drug tests — no exceptions
- Hair AND urine testing required, both must be passed
- No drug-related convictions in the last 5 years
- Must live within 25 miles of ZIP 33982
- Drivers hiring from Arcadia, Port Charlotte, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Englewood and North Port
- Weekend work required
- Holidays worked based on the customer's shipping schedule, including holiday nights
- Road test and safety review required on select applications
