Job Summary
Design and implement local area networks in a school environment, supervising the installation, maintenance, and operation of LANs and associated hardware/software. Coordinate with the Director of Technology to evaluate networking needs and recommend improvements, diagnose and resolve complex LAN issues, train building-level technical staff, and maintain thorough documentation of network configurations and service records. Strong knowledge of LAN architecture, network operating systems, and related technologies, with a focus on ensuring reliable network performance and supporting school technology initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Two years’ experience in a network environment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT/networking
- Certification as a Novell Administrator, Novel Engineer, or Microsoft Engineer preferred
