Job Summary
Write press releases in Italian and disseminate them to local and national media outlets to increase visibility of ICTP research and education activities. Build and maintain media partnerships with journalists, editors, and radio and TV directors across Italy. Contribute to the strategic dissemination of scientifically accurate information through press conferences and major events. Submit two writing samples including a press release and a media pitch as part of the application process.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Science, Communications, Public Information, Journalism or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in public information and communications with focus on science dissemination
- In-depth knowledge of the Italian media, especially the science media, including close contacts with journalists, editors and radio and TV directors
- Fluent in English and Italian, with excellent writing skills in Italian
