Job Summary
Conduct local pickup and delivery work with a 5 Ton truck equipped with a Power Tail Gate, loading and unloading trucks and trailers with a forklift as needed. Proactively adhere to a high standard of safety by conducting pre-trip inspections and completing required forms and paperwork. Perform work and tasks under minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail and customer service. Submit a driver's abstract showing no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months and no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months. Operate from the Terrace, BC terminal during Tuesday-Saturday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 licence
- Driver's abstract showing no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months
- Driver's abstract showing no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months
- Driver's abstract showing no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months
- Pass a pre-employment screening
- Strong attention to detail
- 2+ years of experience in commercial driving
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficient in English, both in reading and writing
- Must submit a driver's abstract
Desired Qualifications
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Comfortable interacting with customers and providing great customer service
- Knows the National Safety Code Cargo Securement Standard 10
