Job Summary
Greet guests promptly, take food and beverage orders, and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks according to established standards. Anticipate needs, present checks, and process payments while maintaining expert knowledge of menus, specials, and resort amenities. Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service and food safety regulations, keep service stations clean, and assist with special events and holiday programming. Work collaboratively with bartenders, food runners, and leadership during peak periods, and complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant, hotel, lounge, bar, or resort environment
- Luxury hotel or resort experience
- Food Handler Certification
- Responsible Beverage Service Certification
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and carrying trays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent communication requiring hearing, speaking, and visual acuity
- Ability to maneuver safely through crowded restaurant and lounge environments
- Regular attendance
