Job Summary
Loss Mitigation Associate responsible for minimizing foreclosures and counseling delinquent customers. Duties include reviewing and processing financial packages for completeness, ensuring compliance with federal, state and investor guidelines, monitoring workouts with GSE/FHA/USDA/VA, communicating with customers, insurers and investors to strategize workout programs, reporting workouts to investors and Treasury, and maintaining accuracy in payments within the loss mitigation process. Requires attendance at training sessions, ability to manage confidential information, and strong analytical and organizational skills. Primary work environment is an indoor office space or private home office as determined by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage loss mitigation
- Familiarity with GSE, FHA, USDA, VA, FHLB and GNMA loss mitigation guidelines
- Strong understanding of foreclosure prevention options and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in loan servicing systems MSP and LMS (ICE)
- Strong attention to details and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
