Job Summary
Process escrow-related property taxes and insurance documentation, including premium changes, cancellations, renewals, and reinstatements, while ensuring escrow analysis accuracy and supporting Community Bank staff. Review and process escrow disbursements for payments, refunds, and surpluses, then research and resolve exceptions or escalate documentation issues to maintain timely loan account servicing. Image new insurance notices daily, track loan document exceptions, and assist with collateral release processes. Maintain professional communication standards, handle internal customer complaints, and complete annual compliance exams. Adhere to all First United policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year working experience in the loan area of a banking institution
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services
- Good understanding of escrow accounts, escrow analysis, escrow disbursements, and related loan servicing requirements
- Good understanding of computer spreadsheet and word processing programs
- Strong understanding of loans and loan products
- Ability to complete tasks and projects with little or no supervision
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate good judgment
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people
- Ability to communicate well with internal customers by all means of communication including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication
- Willingness to accept additional responsibilities
- Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules
- Takes initiative in development and completion of projects
- Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis
