Job Summary
Loan Services Specialist II handles routine and complex duties for existing consumer, commercial and SBA loans, including boarding and imaging loan documents, processing payments/advances, ensuring data accuracy, and generating loan documents. Responsibilities include researching accounts, maintaining credit/file accuracy, assisting with insurance tracking and disclosures, reviewing approvals, performing closings and post-audit tasks, responding to inquiries, supporting loan officers, and cross-training in all loan servicing functions. Requires solid communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, and compliance with banking regulations and policies; familiarity with loan servicing terminology and related regulations (TRID, RESPA, HMDA) and the ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail; may require notary services and willingness to operate banking software and mainframe tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate from college or technical school
- 2-5 years related experience in credit or loan processing
- Experience with loan servicing activities and terminology
- Knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, SBA requirements and related policies
- Computer terminal and word processing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Valid California driver’s license (if required by duties)
