Job Summary

Process all member home equity, consumer loans, and new account applications with correspondence from Financial Service Specialists. Collect supporting documentation, prepare loan documents per policy, and present them for member signatures. Ensure accurate processing by verifying property values, tax assessments, employment history, and credit information. Coordinate loan funding, indexing, and filing while informing specialists of title or survey discrepancies. Support Financial Service Specialists to meet application-to-close ratios and funded loan goals. Participate in business development and community relations activities. Maintain compliance with fair lending laws and credit union policies.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school education or GED
  • Minimum of two years lending and residential mortgage loan origination background preferred but would consider other related experience
  • Prefer extensive financial institution background
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and processes for providing member and personal services
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply principles of lending and lending regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of lending products and credit union lending policies
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk and hear
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch
