Job Summary
Loan Origination Associate I maintains multiple loan file areas (consumer, commercial, Mortgage/SBA/participation) and ensures accuracy, completeness, and SOX compliance while guiding files through the pipeline. Responsibilities include boarding, funding, loan check-in, and file review; providing training and cross-training to staff; updating procedures; answering inquiries from loan officers and branches; and maintaining awareness of relevant banking policies and regulations. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, process optimization, and adherence to regulatory requirements, with opportunities to assist with training on new systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0-2 years’ experience processing loans or equivalent work experience
- Ability to lead and direct others
- Proven track record of working in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in personal computers and Windows driven programs
