Job Summary
Perform loan maintenance including recasts, payment adjustments, and lien perfection for auto, HELOC, and secured loans. Process lien releases, evaluate subordination requests, and manage GAP refunds for early payoffs. Review files to ensure complete documentation, monitor MLA and compliance acts, and maintain accurate reporting on department activity. Assist in reviewing processes to identify necessary updates and ensure all documents meet service level agreements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of consumer loan criteria, policies, and procedures while providing superior service to internal and external members.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months' proven customer service experience
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively in teams
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Credit and loan product knowledge with working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to lending practices
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Canvas Credit Union financial products and services
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business partners
- Ability to adapt quickly, multi-task and prioritize workflow
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to maintain confidences

- The ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
- The ability to bend, stoop, or stand as necessary
- Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular business hours

Desired Qualifications
- Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus
