Job Summary
Associate in Loan Operations responsible for end-to-end loan lifecycle tasks including pre-closing readiness, drawdowns, repayments, interest/fee settlements, and regulatory reporting. Coordinate with overseas hub operations and agency partners, perform GL reconciliations, maintain audit-ready loan documentation, manage inquiries from clients and internal teams, support new product implementations, and contribute to risk controls and operational metrics across bilateral and syndicated loans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
- Good communication skills in Japanese and English
- Ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders across regions
- Time management, organization, and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to identify issues independently, analyze root causes, and implement viable solutions
- Proactive approach to identifying, escalating, and managing issues and exceptions
- Break investigation and resolution discipline with clear documentation
- Strong risk management mindset with experience managing exceptions and controls
