Job Summary
Loan Officer to join AgSouth Family. Develops new business through active pursuit of individual and business customers, builds relationships, and provides loan servicing for an assigned portfolio within delegated lending authority. Responsibilities include sales, business development, marketing, loan servicing, credit administration, underwriting, and pricing decisions based on risk and servicing costs. Requires travel within the assigned territory; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills; knowledge of agriculture economics and credit processes; and demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio and interact with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years related work experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions which serve the best interest of the borrower and the Association
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory and occasional travel across the association
- Ability to work independently and as a team member under minimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills
- Focus on problem solving skills with solutions-driven results
- Current awareness of economic developments and production technology affecting agriculture in the region
