Job Summary
Loan Officer to join AgSouth’s Farm Credit family. Develop new agricultural lending business, build and maintain relationships with current and prospective farm customers, and provide loan servicing for existing portfolios. Responsible for sales, business development, marketing, and evaluating customer needs to tailor products and services. Conduct credit administration activities including gathering and reconciling credit data, underwriting, pricing based on risk, and implementing business plans within delegated authority. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to call on borrowers and collaborate with a team to manage risk and support borrower success.
Required Qualifications
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years related work experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory and occasional travel across the association
- Ability to work independently and as a team member under minimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills
- Focus on problem solving skills with solutions-driven results
- Current awareness of economic developments and production technology affecting agriculture in the region
