Job Summary
Meet with loan applicants to identify needs, collect application data, and define financial eligibility. Analyze active loan files to recommend solutions, prepare detailed proposals, and complete contracts while educating clients on policies. Operate in compliance with laws by rejecting deficient applications, explaining deficiencies, and resolving loan-related issues. Monitor and update account records, submitting applications timely to speed up the process. Requires solid understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and proficiency with standard software.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of local, state, and federal loan regulations
- Proficient with standard software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Maintain proper and professional etiquette and appearance
- Strong attention to details, high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Well organized with the ability to multi-task
- Self-discipline, an aptitude for making good decisions and works efficiently under deadlines
- Must be able to handle the pressure of a fast-paced office high work volume
- The ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of escrow, from opening to closing
- High School Diploma
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a loan officer preferred but not required
