Loan Officer Outside Sales

Job Summary
Proactively solicit new residential mortgage clients and develop a strong referral network. Analyze borrower financial and credit data to determine creditworthiness and loan suitability. Originates loans by contacting prospective clients and meeting with them in person at clients’ homes or other locations outside PRMI offices. Build and maintain referral sources (realtors, builders, bankers, financial advisors) and engage in marketing activities to generate opportunities. Conduct in-person client meetings to present mortgage products, gather necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with investor guidelines. Coordinate with in-house staff and external service providers to facilitate timely closings, while maintaining solid PRMI product knowledge and delivering excellent customer service. Maintain ongoing professional development through continuing education and adapt to local real estate and mortgage industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Sales experience in the mortgage industry is preferred
- Familiarity with mortgage processes, procedures, rules, regulations, and compliance
- Exceptional customer service skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills to include a working knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to comprehend and analyze financial information
- Ability to effectively communicate and present complex financial information while fielding and responding to questions from applicants, support staff, and management
- Established contact and referral list within the real estate and mortgage industries preferred
- Ability to pass a required background check
