Loan Officer Outside Sales

Job Summary
Proactively solicit new residential mortgage clients and build a strong referral network. Originates loans by meeting prospective clients outside the office, including at clients' homes or other locations, and through in-person meetings to sell mortgage loan products/packages. Develops and maintains referral sources, engages in marketing activities, analyzes borrower financial data to determine creditworthiness, gathers required documentation, and coordinates closings with clients and support staff. Builds relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other referral sources to create mortgage lending opportunities and stays current on industry trends and investor guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Sales experience in the mortgage industry preferred
- Familiarity with mortgage processes, procedures, rules, regulations, and compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Ability to analyze financial information
- Ability to present complex financial information to applicants
- Established contact/referral list within real estate and mortgage industries preferred
