Job Summary
The Loan Officer Outside Sales position involves proactively soliciting new residential mortgage clients and developing a robust network of referrals. Responsibilities include originating loans by contacting potential clients, conducting in-person meetings, analyzing borrower information, providing financial product recommendations, and ensuring timely loan closings. Required skills encompass strong customer service, effective communication, and analytical capability, alongside a familiarity with mortgage processes. Sales experience and a referral network in the mortgage industry are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with mortgage processes, procedures, rules, regulations, and compliance
- Exceptional customer service skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to comprehend and analyze financial information
- Ability to effectively communicate and present complex financial information while fielding and responding to questions from applicants, support staff, and management
- Ability to pass a required background check
Desired Qualifications
- Sales experience in the mortgage industry is preferred
- Established contact and referral list within the real estate and mortgage industries preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must maintain eligibility for FLSA classification as Outside Sales Exempt
- Compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies
