Job Summary
Loan Officers at Golden State Farm Credit manage, grow, and service an assigned loan portfolio for agricultural customers, using financial analysis to structure loans, recommend approvals or denials, coordinate with title companies, and ensure compliance with Association policies. Senior Officers contribute to business development, pricing, and risk management while maintaining strong relationships with customers and regulators. Essential duties include loan underwriting, data collection and analysis, determining loan terms, processing closings, portfolio servicing, regulatory adherence, and ongoing efforts to expand the customer base through community networks. The role requires knowledge of agriculture/agribusiness, financial analysis, GAAP, and effective communication to educate customers and negotiate complex loan agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Loan Officer: 2 years of credit analyst experience; 0-2 years in sales, lending, or related work
- Senior Loan Officer: 3-5 years of loan officer experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
