Job Summary
Meet with prospective customers, brokers, and New Home Consultants to collect financial information, analyze data, and obtain loan applications. Advise clients on mortgage risks, recommend appropriate loan products, and assist in pre-qualifications to develop sales pipelines. Originate and prepare new loans in accordance with company policies, review interest rates, and lock loans at least fifteen days prior to closing. Travel weekly to communities, realtor offices, and events to conduct seminars, lead generation activities, and maintain relationships. Review leads daily via telephone and email to set up meetings and attend closings. Maintain reports within the origination computer system regarding loan status and projected closings. Meet established sales goals for closed loan capture rates.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of Loan Originating experience
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- NMLS License required, or willing to obtain
- Ability to maintain flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend work
- Must be able to travel to various communities, realtors' offices, and other appropriate locations on a regular basis (at least weekly)
- Must be able to conduct 'First Time Homebuyer Seminars' in communities on a regular basis
- Must be able to travel to and participate in builder and realtor functions, status meetings, phase releases, phone banks, special events
- Must be able to travel to various communities and other appropriate locations to meet with prospective/current customers, explain the Company's offerings, obtain loan applications and other required documents, and attend closings
- Must be able to review leads daily and contact prospective customers via telephone and email to set up in-person/virtual meetings
- Must be able to originate and prepare new loans in accordance with the 'Loan Officer' agreement
- Must be able to advise and recommend to the customer regarding the various mortgage loan products based on the customer's individual need
- Must be able to review interest rates as needed and lock all loans with the borrowers in accordance with the Secondary Marketing Pricing and Rate Lock Policies and Procedures manual, at least fifteen days prior to closing
- Must be able to provide assistance to New Home Consultants on pre-qualifications of customers to develop a pipeline for outside sales
- Must be able to meet or exceed closed loan capture rate, spot loan objectives for the division, and/or other established sales goals
- Must be able to maintain reports and notes within origination computer system regarding own prospects and customers
Desired Qualifications
- Four-year college degree (preferred)
