Job Summary
The Loan Officer will be responsible for developing, soliciting, and negotiating new business and loan referrals across a network of resources, including Realtors, Homebuilders, and retail banks. The role involves maintaining and developing existing relationships, conducting thorough loan applications, performing prequalification assessments, negotiating loan terms, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations. Strong customer service, effective communication, and persuasive negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to educate clients on mortgage products. Candidates must have an active MLO license and relevant experience in lending origination.
Required Qualifications
- Active state MLO license in each state where business is conducted
- High-school diploma or GED
- 1-year lending origination experience
- Strong PC skills, including Power Point, Excel, Word and Lotus Notes
- Solid knowledge of state and local real estate markets
