Job Summary
Loan Officer Associate assists Loan Officers and participates in formal training to develop skills for a future Loan Officer role. The position involves online and classroom training, reviewing reports to learn mortgage processes from application to closing, pricing and locking loans after training on mortgage rate sheets, maintaining loan files in the origination system, and supporting business development through builder and realtor functions. The role emphasizes licensing education, ongoing RESPA knowledge, and customer-centric communication to ensure timely responses to borrowers. It also includes coordinating loan documents, assisting processors and closers, and contributing to local marketing campaigns, with a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (BA/BS preferred)
- Mortgage or banking experience (preferred)
- Experience articulating product features and benefits
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
