Job Summary
Assist Loan Officers while developing skills to become a Loan Officer in the future. Participate in formal training programs covering lending aspects, pricing and locking loans, and loan approvals. Review reports to understand the mortgage process from application to closing. Complete mortgage licensing/continuing education as needed. Update loan applications, maintain notes in the Loan Origination System, and assist with initial file setup. Engage in business development and customer relations through builder and realtor functions and local marketing campaigns. Serve as primary borrower contact, scheduling meetings and addressing follow-up issues; support processors and closers with procuring loan documents. Flexible schedule including weekends/evenings. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with office software are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BA or BS preferred
- Mortgage or banking experience (preferred)
- Experience in articulating product or service features, benefits, and value
- Genuine passion for going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction
- Exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
