Job Summary
Coordinate Loan Officer’s work activities to ensure efficient loan processing; assist in administration, review and processing of mortgage loans ensuring completeness and accuracy of required documents and applications; track and monitor the status of each file in the Loan Officer Database and update borrowers/builders accordingly; meet with clients to take borrower applications and pre-qualify, present and review data with the Loan Officer; review and submit forms and fees to automated underwriting; assist with pricing and rate locks; maintain pipeline updates and provide status notifications to borrowers and builders; role emphasizes time management, communication, organization, and customer service aligning with SWBC values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Minimum of three (3) years of coordinating and processing mortgage loans while providing a high level of customer service
- Applicable State and National licenses (NMLS and SAFE Act Compliant)
- Working knowledge of mortgage loans and/or loan procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette skills
- Able to type at least 60 WPM accurately
- Able to sit for long periods of time gathering, updating, and validating mortgage loan applications
- Able to lift 10-20 lbs. of loan papers, files, and other documents
- Able to work independently and exercise sound judgement
