Job Summary
The role focuses on building member relationships by processing loan applications, interviewing members, analyzing credit reports and documents to match needs with lending products, exercising lending authority on consumer loans, and promoting positive name recognition for the Credit Union. Responsibilities include supporting branch operations, cross-selling Credit Union products, speaking at Credit Union events, ensuring compliance with internal controls and Bank Secrecy Act regulations, handling Notary Services as required, providing coverage for management vacations, and potential rotating Saturday schedules. The position requires in-person work at the Fort Worth, TX branch, and prefers candidates with a background in financial services, loan processing or underwriting, and strong customer service and sales capabilities. The role may entail travel and is aligned with a lending/sales-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to work in-person at assigned branch location
- Must have strong working background in a financial institution and relevant consumer loan processing or underwriting experience within the last twelve months
- FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English; Spanish is a plus
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Ability to travel overnight
