Loan Booking and Servicing Specialist

Job Summary
Register all new and renewed loans into the Core System, ensuring accurate terms, conditions, and booking codes. Process loan disbursements according to funding instructions and handle mass payment processing for the portfolio. Manage loan servicing by processing payments and advances, monitoring SWAP loans, and handling participations and syndicated loans. Resolve customer inquiries, investigate loan issues, and process special asset transactions including restructures and charge-offs. Assist in reconciling general ledger accounts, reviewing operations reports, and completing required audits. Stay current on federal regulations and make recommendations for process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Vocational training in legal documentation and loan accounting
- Comparable experience in lieu of education
- Associates degree in Business
- Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in loan processing
- Experience in banking operations
- Experience in legal loan documentation
- Experience in loan accounting
- Knowledge of banking regulations relating to domestic (multi-state) and international loans
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- Good analytical and accounting skills
- Knowledge of computer software (Excel and Word)
- Must be able to pass any required drug test
- Must be able to pass new hire physical examination
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in Business preferred
- Wire transfer experience preferred
