Job Summary
Loads and Dynamics Engineer for Air Vehicles leads structural loads analyses, develops integrated dynamics FEMs for multiple air vehicles, conducts aeroelastic/aeroservoelastic studies and flutter analyses, and contributes to design optimization through loads insights. Responsible for generating flight loads data per MIL/FAR specs, performing dynamic testing (vibration, modal, GVT), and preparing detailed technical reports. Requires collaboration with design engineers and experience with FEMAP/Nastran, Matlab/Python, and handling flight loads instrumentation and data processing. Security clearance eligibility is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied physics with a focus in structures
- 5+ years of experience in a structures, dynamics or loads related role with high ownership and accountability for hardware outcomes
- Deep understanding of statics, dynamics, solid mechanics, materials science, finite element analysis and dynamic testing
- Proficiency in FEMAP, Nastran or similar
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, or similar for developing analytical models, data acquisition and automation
- Self-directed, results oriented, and capable of working in a dynamic environment
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
