Job Summary
Loading Master will oversee mooring and cargo-loading operations for LNG carriers at Woodfibre’s floating storage and marine terminals, acting as the Terminal Representative and coordinating vessel-terminal activities, safety procedures, pre-load meetings, and cargo documentation, with responsibilities spanning both project-execution and operations phases, including developing marine procedures, budgeting input, training plan development, and compliance with TERMPOL and regulatory expectations; requires Master Mariner certification or equivalent, extensive LNG/marine operations experience, and strong English communication, with on-site duties in Squamish, BC, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Unlimited Master Mariner certificate or unlimited Chief/cargo Officer certificates
- Dangerous cargo endorsements - Liquefied gas Tanker, Oil or Chemical Tankers
- Experience as a Master Mariner or Chief Officer for LNG carriers or other liquified gases ships
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Loading Master in LNG terminals
- Experience in floating LNG facilities FLNG preferred, FSRU and FSU will be considered
- Right to work in Canada preferred, candidates with FLNG experience may be eligible for relocation assistance
- Must be able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
