Loading Dock Specialist- Weekend Shift

Job Summary
Load and unload steel building components safely and efficiently while verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, yard mules, and other material-handling equipment to stage materials properly, inspecting them for damage or discrepancies. Coordinate with drivers and the logistics team using two-way radios to keep shipments moving on schedule. Track daily dock activity with tablets and RFID scanners, complete routine safety inspections, and report hazards promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role supports Red Dot Buildings' custom-engineered metal building projects across commercial, educational, and government sectors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in loading, shipping, receiving, warehouse operations or a similar environment
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, yard mules or related equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material-handling practices
- Strong attention to detail, especially when verifying and documenting shipments
- Clear communication and the ability to work effectively with drivers and team members
- Dependability and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience handling steel, building materials or oversized freight
