Job Summary
Loading Dock Specialist responsible for loading/unloading shipments, coordinating with drivers, and operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, yard mules) to move freight safely and efficiently. Ensures safety compliance, conducts regular equipment safety inspections, and inspects incoming/outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies. Maintains clear communication with Logistic Coordinators and the Director of Logistics to coordinate activities and relay instructions to dock workers. Upholds quality standards in goods handling and storage. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.
