Job Summary
Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper box counts and secure placement with two handlers per box. Maintain a safe, clean workplace by sweeping areas, picking up garbage, and emptying trash during the shift. Operate machinery safely, including opening tautliner curtains, applying straps, and breaking crates for van delivery. Assist in mid and year-end inventory counts if needed. This straight day shift runs Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2 PM. Pay is $22.48 per hour. Grade 12 or equivalent is required; forklift certification is provided through company-sponsored training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work day shift (6AM to 2PM) - Monday to Friday
- Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must be able to pick a product and create a crate when necessary
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Must be able to complete reports accurately and legibly
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work in crating assembly department when required
