Job Summary
Load and unload railcars and trucks, verify product quantities against outage tables, and coordinate drum loading with plant management. Move finished pallets, stage orders for shipment, and ensure bills of lading match packing slips. Perform basic maintenance on loading equipment, pumps, and hoses while assisting with lockout/tagout activities. Maintain housekeeping in containment areas and participate in safety meetings and drills. Work outdoors Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with rounds every third weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be physically capable of operating industrial equipment and wearing required respiratory protection
- Ability to work weekends, overtime, and rotating shifts as required to meet production demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial plant environment preferred
- Training or experience in hazardous materials handling, PPE use, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and industrial safety practices preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Forklift, manlift, and bobcat operation experience or certification preferred
