Job Summary
Operate a front-end loader to load haul trucks with overburden, ore, or aggregate material; maintain consistent production rates while minimizing spillage and rework; ensure proper loading techniques to maximize efficiency and equipment longevity; conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of equipment; identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions; follow all site safety policies and MSHA regulations; communicate effectively with haul truck drivers, dispatch, and supervisors; maintain clean work areas and provide general production support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a production loader in a mining, quarry, or heavy civil environment
- Strong understanding of loading patterns, material handling, and production goals
- Valid driver’s license required
- MSHA certification (preferred; may be required prior to start)
- Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
- Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Team players who communicate clearly and work well in a fast-paced environment
