Job Summary
Safely operate the site loader to move materials and ensure proper storage while maintaining plant/yard housekeeping through sweeping, washing, and shoveling. Ensure irrigation systems hydrate aggregates and coordinate yard traffic flow with direction from the Plant Supervisor. Assist with monthly inventory, render hauler tickets, and support maintenance repairs. Perform daily mechanical inspections, grease fittings, and keep fuel levels full. Travel within the delivery area to other plant locations and ensure bins are fully loaded during batching hours. Maintain EPA guidelines and regulatory standards throughout operations.
Required Qualifications
- Construction industry experience
- Ability to work night shifts, overtime, and weekends
- Basic understanding of windows-based operations / computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of concrete characteristics and production
- Demonstrated safe operation of Mixer Truck and Loader
- Knowledge of proper material handling practices
- Demonstrated ability to be coachable by Plant Supervisor and Area Supervisor
- Must be physically capable of performing strenuous manual labor including: bending, lifting, climbing at heights of 60-80 feet, walking on catwalks, stretching, driving/steering, sitting, twisting, vibration, and riding & walking on rough terrain
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
- Must be English proficient, both oral and written
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in ready-mix industry
- Valid CDL license
Additional Requirements
- Must have demonstrated the ability to be coachable by Plant Supervisor and Area Supervisor.
