Job Summary
Operate and maintain plant equipment, primarily a wheel loader, including performing pre- and post-trip inspections, starting engine, shifting gears, and manipulating controls to move materials and load bins. Provide support to the batch plant manager, maintain haul roads and stockpiles, and perform routine maintenance on loader and plant apparatus. Emphasizes safety compliance (OSHA), requires outdoor work in a loud environment, and may involve outside labor tasks. Training available for those without loader experience; prefers experience with 320 loader and safety certifications (MSHA or similar). Must be willing to work at plant location in Bethlehem, PA and participate in pre-employment drug testing. Knowledge of equipment maintenance, loading operations, PPE use, and teamwork are valued.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or related experience/training acceptable
- 1 month related experience and/or training (required)
- Basic mechanical abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Safety-focused
- Ability to fit test & utilize PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting)
