Job Summary
Operate front-end loaders to load salt, sand, and deicing materials into trucks, trailers, and spreader vehicles during winter maintenance operations. Assist with equipment preparation before, during, and after winter weather events, while performing pre- and post-operation inspections and routine preventive maintenance. Respond to emergency call-outs for snow and ice response activities, including nights, weekends, holidays, and adverse weather conditions. Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety policies, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean work environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding assignments and operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating front-end loaders or similar heavy equipment
- Knowledge of safe heavy equipment operating procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to respond to emergency situations outside normal working hours
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
