Job Summary

Conduct pre-shift inspections, maintain equipment repair records, and perform workplace examinations to identify mechanical issues and minimize safety hazards. Operate heavy construction equipment efficiently to meet production goals while assisting with safety audits and promoting continuous improvement. Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and government regulations, including MSHA requirements, and maintain strong communication with plant employees. Work daytime hours Monday through Friday with potential overtime and Saturday coverage as needed, operating in varied outdoor conditions including extreme heat, cold, and dust.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be qualified to work in a safety sensitive environment
  • Must have 2 years Loader Operator experience
  • Must be able to meet all MSHA safety requirements and adhere to company safety policies
  • Must be able to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat exceeding 100 degrees, cold and rain
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as bend and lift up to 80 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to accept responsibility for their actions specifically Safety related
  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Positive, Team-based attitude
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • Must be able to lift 80 pounds
