Job Summary
Operate a front-end loader or dozer to stockpile materials from railcars and load customer trucks accurately. Perform pre-shift safety inspections, conduct preventative maintenance, and report equipment repairs to supervision. Ensure cargo loading meets safety requirements while maintaining good housekeeping and assisting with plant maintenance. Adhere to MSHA/OSHA rules and perform duties with minimal supervision. Work 12-hour shifts including weekends, overtime, and holidays in all weather conditions. Read operating manuals, complete inspection reports, and communicate via CB radio or hand signals. Requires high school diploma, one year of heavy equipment experience, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment
- 1 year of Heavy Equipment experience
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts
- Must be able to read equipment operating manual
- Must be able to complete pre-shift inspection report
- Must be able to communicate over CB radio or with hand signals and warning sounds
- Possess basic mathematical aptitude
- Must be able to wear all required safety equipment
- Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner
- Must be able to read and interpret gauges
- Must be service oriented with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Possess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet
- Must be able to climb on and off equipment
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel in limited space
- Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work at various heights
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs
- Must attend New Hire Orientation and Safety Training in person at our Corporate Office located in Dallas, Texas
Desired Qualifications
