Job Summary
Responsible for all general warehouse functions including loading/unloading, manual depal, receiving, put-away, pulls and replenishments, and selection of product when qualified and as needed in accordance with Preferred Work Methods (PWMs). Requires working in freezer, cooler and dry warehouse environments with extreme cold and/or warm temperatures. Ensure pallets received meet defined requirements and enter/scan item data (LPN, catch-weight, manufacture date, expiration date) into the warehouse management system using RF equipment. Maintain item information, verify temperatures, document shortages/damages via OS&D, complete vendor compliance forms, apply blind LPNs when needed, operate dock equipment, and follow safety and PWMs. Must complete the receiving certification process and work with supervision to minimize shrink/damage. Emphasis on safety, equipment operation (MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks), proper lifting techniques, and adherence to food safety and company policies. This is a full-time Loader role requiring the ability to work a varying schedule in a warehouse environment with multiple temperature zones.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Six months previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred
- Material handling equipment experience preferred
- Reach truck experience preferred
- Crown and/or Raymond reach truck experience a plus
- Certification on material handling equipment is required, or the ability to become certified.
