Job Summary
Responsible for all general warehouse functions including loading/unloading, depal, receiving, put-away, replenishments, and product selection when qualified, in freezer/cooler/dry environments with extreme temperatures. Enter/scan item data (LPN, catch-weight, dates) into WMS using RF equipment; verify item information against records. Inspect products for shortages/ damages, record discrepancies on OS&D forms, monitor temperatures, and ensure compliance with PWMs. Maintain equipment, enforce safety, and operate MHE (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely. Requires completion of receiving certification, team collaboration, and willingness to work varying shifts in a warehouse environment. Must meet physical requirements (lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally), and adhere to safety, OSHA/HACCP standards. Salary is stated as a compensation range and is not indicative of Sysco’s pay range. This is a full-time Loader position based in FreshPoint Central Florida, FL, USA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; six months warehouse experience and/or training preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a functional capacity test
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision, management and co-workers
- Certification on material handling equipment is required, or the ability to become certified
- Experience with forklift/reach truck preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short Memos
