Job Summary
Load Planners coordinate all freight movement and customer service activities, plan and optimize shipments using Transportation Management System, tender freight to third-party carriers, and provide shipment visibility and issue resolution. Responsibilities include load-building, securing carrier coverage, monitoring email communications, identifying shipping opportunities, delivering excellent customer service to assigned accounts, handling call-center and shared email duties, tracking shipments, auditing and troubleshooting operational issues, recovering customer loads, maintaining daily logs and trackers, and providing detailed instructions to colleagues across shifts. Proficient use of the Transportation Manager System and strong coordination with customers and management are essential.
