Job Summary
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trucks, or customer vehicles while installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting. Perform load-building by determining appropriate weight, composition, and placement based on customer orders and vehicle capacity to ensure safe hauling. Convey materials using hand trucks, electric dollies, or forklifts, and open containers with hand tools. Attach identifying tags to items and lift objects up to 80 pounds frequently. Follow work orders and safety procedures, and may provide guidance to less experienced staff. Requires forklift certification and ability to read and write for handling tasks.
