Load Builder/Forklift Operator

Load materials and unloads items onto or from pallets, trucks, or customer vehicles while installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting. Perform load-building by determining appropriate weight, composition, and placement based on customer orders and vehicle capacity. Convey materials using hand trucks, electric dollies, or forklifts, and open containers using hand tools. Attach identifying tags to containers and lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoists. Clean work areas and machines, and provide guidance to less experienced Load Builders. Observe all safety procedures and attend periodic safety meetings.
