Job Summary
Greet customers, process payments, and issue receipts while providing product information and directing shoppers to pick-up points. Sort and stock merchandise onto shelves, bins, or pegs according to style, size, or type, and re-fill low or out-of-stock items from the stockroom. Assist with unpacking, setting up displays, and attaching promotional signage, ensuring bin tags are properly placed and merchandise is correctly priced. Perform periodic inventory counts and handle related clerical duties such as preparing transfer slips and maintaining records. This entry-level retail position requires standing and walking most of the day, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, and includes on-the-job training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of company products and company standards
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Good math skills
- Good customer service skills
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds
- Must be able to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling
