Job Summary
Room patients, take vitals, perform pre-surgery testing including EKGs and blood sugars, and assist with toileting and supply preparation. Conduct pregnancy tests and manage warm blankets as part of Same Day Surgery coverage from 5:30am to 9pm. Requires Basic Life Support certification and New Hampshire Nursing Assistant license. Experience in clinical or medical office settings preferred. Physical duties include frequent standing, walking, lifting 50 pounds, and carrying items.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
- Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
- Vision - Far Constantly (67-100%)
- Vision - Near Constantly (67-100%)
- Talking Constantly (67-100%)
- Hearing Constantly (67-100%)
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical/Medical Office/Managed Care Experience 1-2 years
- Nursing Assistant Experience 0-1 year
- Knowledgeable in general nursing assistant practices, personal care and basic medical services
- Knowledgeable of patient rights, privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of patients and employees
- Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidentiality and adheres to policies on confidentiality
- Good communication skills both written and oral
