Job Summary

Perform activities of daily living and personal care needs under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Execute technical skills and procedures for physical, mental, and social patient needs while documenting care and reporting observations. Maintain patient care areas for cleanliness and safety, adhere to safe patient handling policies, and receive delegated work following the five rights of delegation. Serve as a preceptor for new employees. Requires current New Hampshire LNA license, American Heart Association BLS certification, and 6–12 months of prior experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association
  • Current New Hampshire State LNA license
  • Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team
  • 6-12 months previous experience
  • Must regularly lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds
  • Must frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 - 25 pounds
  • Must occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20 - 50 pounds
  • Must regularly do fine motor, hear, speak, walk
  • Must frequently bend, reach, sit, squat, and stand
  • Must occasionally climb, do repetitive motion, kneel, and smell
  • Must have color vision
  • Must have depth perception
  • Must have far vision
  • Must have near vision
  • Must have peripheral vision
  • Must be regularly exposed to airborne pathogens, bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids
  • Must be occasionally exposed to airborne contaminants, chemotherapeutic agents, electrical hazards - shock, moving mechanical parts, non-weather related heat or cold, slippery surfaces, toxic or caustic chemicals

Desired Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent (GED) preferred
