Job Summary
Provide basic nursing care including assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting. Obtain and record vital signs and weights, collect specimens, and perform grooming and personal care. Feed patients or assist with meals and hydration per care plan. Collect soiled linen, assist with treatments and procedures, and report changes in patient condition or concerns to the charge nurse. Requires BLS certification and New Hampshire Nursing Assistant license. 36-hour weekly day shift at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
- Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire]
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Knowledgeable in general nursing assistant practices, personal care and basic medical services
- Knowledgeable of patient rights, privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of patients and employees
- Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidentiality and adheres to policies on confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical/Medical Office/Managed Care Experience 1-2 years
