Job Summary
Senior Production Director responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact live productions across diverse venues and client types. Leads production teams, manages vendor and venue relationships, ensures safety and quality, and serves as a key liaison with clients and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Production management experience (5+ years)
- Proficient and detailed project management/planning experience
- Vectorworks knowledge
- AutoCAD experience acceptable
- Computer literacy in Windows applications
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Procurement of vendors (staging, audio, lighting, video, etc.) and managing staff, services, and budgets
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexible work and travel schedule (days/nights, weekends, holidays)
- Strong interpersonal and client/vendor/artist communication skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology, information, resources and environments
- Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
- Tolerance of loud noise level in production environments
- Knowledge of venue operations, union and labor protocols, safety standards
- Ability to advance technical/site planning details, rider requirements, staging and capacity changes
- Develop and maintain production/site drawings, on-sale layouts, timelines, schedules, and artist riders
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality standards
- Maintain regular communications with stakeholders
- Manage site operations (power, heavy equipment, traffic management, crowd control, sanitation, permitting, engineering)
- Assist with budget management and tracking
- On-site presence from load-in
- Produce event debrief and settlement notes for finance
