Job Summary
LMHP licensed mental health professional role providing telephonic triage, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy across individuals, families, groups, and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Responsibilities include crisis management, triage and screening, coordinating admissions/discharges (including hospital, ER, and external referrals), collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and delivering evidence-based therapies. Requires Masters in a related field, Hawaii LMFT or Mental Health Counselor license, NPI, and BLS; at least three years post-degree clinical experience; ongoing credentialing per guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-degree clinical experience
- Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, clinical counseling, or allied field related to the practice of mental health counseling from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Hawaii) OR Mental Health Counselor License (Hawaii)
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire
- Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association
- Experience in brief triage assessment of a variety of Mental Health and Substance Use disorders
- Experience in providing evidence based treatment including conducting individual, and group therapy, intensive outpatient treatment, and/or partial hospitalization programs for children, and/or adults, including people with serious/chronic mental illness.
- Documentation knowledge according to national accreditation guidelines
- Knowledge of DSM and diagnostic evaluations
- DSM-5 understanding
- Taxonomy code required at time of hire
- Credentialing process upon hire
